This blog will hopefully be a more insightful look into where I’ve been, where I am, and where I’m headed. I’ll include stories, my general philosophy on things, music videos I’ve been watching, and more. And hopefully I will improve my writing skills as I go.
First, some news. I’ve decided to stop working on the film festival where I’ve been volunteering for the past five or six years. I’ve lost count. Working on a cause really affects several aspects of your life, especially if you’re doing it with very little resources. For example, the last time I had a chill, relaxing vacation was 3 years ago when I went on a cruise with my sisters. I don’t remember the last time I had a chance to vacuum my room. And my health hasn’t been great in recent years. I remember last year when I went to San Diego for a film festival and ran into a producer that I meet the previous week at our festival. He didn’t recognize me and when I told him who I was, he still looked puzzled, staring at me and commenting that I looked different. I usually get sick during the festival since I don’t really get to eat regularly, sleep well, or generally rest leading up to it. I told him that I got a just got a haircut. All in all, my experiences were different than I expected when I started but I met some great people, attended several great film festivals around the country, and I hope to use what I’ve learned in future ventures.
And on to a music video. Bands fronted by cute girls with strong voices kick ass. Case in point…

I share your fascination with cute lead singers.
And get well. It gets harder as we grow older. You forget that you are no longer superhuman. And those days are gone, but there’s plenty to look forward to so you need to stick it out in the health department.
Good luck on wherever the path leads you. May the road rise with you.
